Jo moved to Spain in her early twenties to study vocals and theatre in the renowned city of Barcelona, and went afterwards to spend a year in Rome to deepen her vocal and musical studies.
During this time she performed in clubs and music venues of both cities, perfecting her skills.
In 2010 she moved in the UK where she attained a Jazz diploma and soon started performing with some of the best Soul and Jazz musicians on the scene.
Jo’s vocals reflect her love for artists like Dinah Washington, Amy Winehouse, Jill Scott, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Lauryn Hill.
